It will be held at Mesabi East Elementary on six Tuesdays from 3:30 – 5:30, February through April, with a field trip to the Laurentian Environmental Center in Britt in May. The program is taught by dedicated engineers and scientists volunteering their time to encourage STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) learning. The class is paid for by sponsors of the Range Engineering Council (REC), including area mines, businesses, and organizations so there is no cost to students. This is a great opportunity for kids interested in math and sciences or just hands-on experiments to deepen this interest.
